A group of local residents in the Cotswold village of Kemble had a dream:
...and the kids wanted pigs, chickens and a place to make dens without anyone telling them off for making a mess.So we are making it happen.
This is some of us, plus our friends from Travis Perkins, in May08, in front of a very large dung heap, kindly provided by Binnie's horses and Kemble Farms.
This is the story of how a band of unskilled, untrained but enthusastic volunteers is settting up allotments in their village. It describes the steps we have taken, contacts we have made and people who are helping us.This web site is here for locals to see what is going on in their village, and to encourage everyone to take part and get something out of it. You do not need to 'have' an allotment to get something positive out of this project.Who knows - it may even inspire others out there to have a go as well!?
